A wise man once told me a story about a bird. Now this bird was very late heading south, and it was already getting cold. This bird hurried and tried to get south, but his wings froze up on his way there and he fell in a field. While on the ground, a cow walked up to the bird and took a shit on the bird. The bird was revolted by the stench, but the warmth of the shit actually thawed the bird’s wings out. The bird got up, dusted itself off, and kept on flying. The bird finally reached the south and rested on a pole. The bird saw a cat, the cat smiled at the bird, and the bird smiled back. The cat ate the bird. Moral of the story? Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy, and not everyone who smiles at you is your friend.
