Does "God" even exist? Is religion worth believing in? All of these are hotly debated topics, but in the end, they are possibly THEE single most retarded topics of discussion. Why? BECAUSE NOBODY KNOWS. How can you prove that God exists? You can't. How can you prove that God doesn't exist? You can't. Me personally, I do believe in a God, maybe it's because I just want something to look forward to when i die or maybe it's my desperate hope for salvation of this god (no pun intended) awful planet we have raised. With that being said, I have no desire to EVER believe in religion. I think religion is the dumbest thing that God could have ever created. Religion had killed more people than any God-made disease. Physically? No, religion has second handily killed millions of people. if there is one thing I have learned in History class, it's that 1. All civilizations die out, everything changes no matter what. and 2. religion has only caused war, death, famine, and the utter destruction of the human race. All that for some false hope. Would you kill yourself for something that "might" exist? or for something that "might" work? I know damn well I would not. Don't get me wrong, I have been to church before, a lot actually. I used to go to church every Sunday. It was miserable, I guess even at a young age I knew i was just being fed complete BS. How many people who attend church have actually read the Bible? I mean actually READ the bible, like down to the core. I can guarantee that 90% of the people who are strong religion goers, are already damned to hell for the sins they have committed. The bibles is not a book about the life of Jesus, it's a book about how we should live our lives. And whats with the 10 commandments? Listen God, I understand you made us, but i don't need a Rule Book on how to live the life you gave me.

ReplyDeleteI am not the religious person, yet I enjoy religious conversations and debates. I focus on the ideology behind religion and the ways, it can be used to control listeners and if you look at it this way, you can make the debates somehow meaningful.

i like the idea of religion. Something to follow and prevent some bad things if you believe in it like rape,murder, etc. But some some of the church isnt the greatest. Priests cant marry because the idea was when they died they leave their land to the church.

ReplyDeleteIt's widely known that religion has been used as a tool to control people throughout history. Whether anyone wants to believe something or not doesn't concern me at all, as I have no control over anyones thoughts, ideals, behaviors, and beliefs.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe in "God" in terms of someone up in the clouds judging and watching us... this to me was just a tool to quell a public. I do however see our universe as "God"... Energy, space, and everything in our universe is connected, and I believe this is one of the reasons humans are so lost in this day an age; humans think they are separate from every one and every thing, when in reality the opposite is the case.
But this is just me. I could be wrong, but so could any one of you. ^_^

I doubt god exists. As you get closer to a deist god, I get progressively less atheistic. But then again, what's the difference between a god that does nothing and one that doesn't exist?
